I've been feeling a bit confused about how to identify fake placements that end up burning ad spend. I've run several native ad campaigns and noticed some placements with suspiciously high clicks but low conversions. It's frustrating to see the budget drain without real results.

I've tried analyzing traffic sources and engagement patterns to spot anything unusual. I also compared performance across different networks to find inconsistencies. Some placements just don't add up, which makes me wonder how to filter them out early.

I'm still figuring out a solid system for this. What's your system for identifying fake placements that burn ad spend?
 
If a placement is getting tons of clicks but nobody actually sticks around, scrolls, signs up, or buys anything, that's usually a red flag. I check stuff like super short visit times, repeated IPs, sketchy device activity, and conversion numbers that look way too perfect. Fake traffic often looks amazing at first because the CTR is high, but once you look deeper, the quality is terrible. I also use placement reports, blocklists, fraud tools, and tracking data to figure out where the bad traffic is coming from. At the end of the day, I just focus on cutting the junk fast
