Tracking income from articles is very important in affiliate marketing. One simple way is to use the reports inside your affiliate dashboard, which show clicks and sales. You can also use basic tracking links to see which post brings each sale. Another method is to keep a simple record in a notebook or spreadsheet each month. This helps you notice patterns, like which topics perform better. When you know what works, you can create more content like that. It also helps you fix weak posts. How would you keep things organized over time?

The easiest way is to connect your analytics and revenue tools so you can see which articles drive clicks, leads, or sales. Tools like Google Analytics combined with ad or affiliate dashboards let you track page-level performance. Set up goals or conversion tracking for each article, and review monthly which posts bring in the most income. This way, you can focus on boosting high-performing content and improving or repurposing underperforming pieces.

The simplest way is to use tracking IDs for your affiliate links. Give each article its own unique link or tag, then check your affiliate dashboard to see which one brings sales. That way, you can clearly know which post is making money and which one is not.

Every month, I export my top 50 revenue-driving posts from Google Search Console, then cross-reference them with my affiliate dashboards and Stripe payouts. I also keep a dead-simple spreadsheet: URL, traffic, conversions, and total profit. No fancy software. Takes 20 minutes on the 1st of every month. That's it. If it's not paying rent, it's not a priority.

A simple way to track profitable articles is to use Google Analytics together with your affiliate dashboard. Analytics shows which pages get the most visitors, while your affiliate reports show which links generate commissions. Comparing both sets of data every month helps you identify the articles that are bringing in the most income.

The best approach is to combine analytics with proper link tracking. Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and your affiliate network's reporting system to monitor traffic and sales. If possible, assign unique tracking IDs to different articles so you can clearly see which pages are generating commissions and which ones need improvement.
