This happens more than people realise. Liking and commenting on a post feels easy and low-effort, almost like a reflex. But clicking a link means leaving the platform, and most people are not ready to do that unless they feel a strong reason to. Social media platforms are also built to keep users scrolling, not to send them elsewhere. So the platform itself is working against the link.
