I hired a designer just for a logo. Two days later I got a long message about SEO, website redesign, email funnels, and brand strategy. I get that upselling is normal, but it felt pushy and off topic. I only wanted one thing done well. Now I am hesitant to reply because I do not want a sales pitch.
