Ask Why do clients want work delivered fast but take forever to pay after it is done?

This is a pattern that many freelancers notice. The client is very clear about needing the work urgently, sometimes setting tight deadlines that require you to rearrange your whole schedule. Then once you deliver exactly on time, the payment comes days or sometimes weeks later with little explanation. It feels like the urgency only applies to your side of the deal. Some people accept this as normal, while others say it is a sign of poor planning on the client's end. Have you experienced this, and how do you usually handle it?
