Ask Why do clients ask if something can be done faster without asking if rushing it hurts the quality?

It seems like speed is always on the client's mind, but quality is something they only think about after the work is delivered. A client will ask if you can finish in two days instead of five, but they will not ask what corners you have to cut to make that happen. When the result is not what they expected, the rushed timeline rarely comes up. I have always wondered why speed feels like a simple request to clients when it actually changes the work. Do you think most clients understand what rushing really costs?
