A gentle reintroduction email works well when people have not heard from you in a long time. You can remind them who you are, what your emails usually talk about, and how your messages can help them in simple, everyday situations. It is also useful to share a small update or a helpful tip so the message feels fresh instead of awkward. Keeping the tone warm and clear helps them reconnect without feeling pressured. You can even ask if they still want to receive your emails, which can clean your list while bringing some readers back. What do you think?

We just wanted to pop in and say hello and remind you why you signed up in the first place. We've got some cool updates, tips, and goodies we think you'll love. No pressure, just a friendly nudge to reconnect. If you've been enjoying what we send, awesome! If not, no hard feelings, you can always adjust your preferences or unsubscribe. But if you're curious, stick around for some fun

I agree completely about asking if they still want to be on the list. It's actually a really good idea for a couple of reasons, not just for being nice. First, if they say yes, you know they are now a much more engaged reader.

Second, and maybe more important for your business, getting rid of those dead emails actually helps your overall delivery rate. When email providers see you sending to a lot of people who never open your messages, they might start sending your emails straight to the spam folder for everyone. Cleaning up is just good business.

All this talk about the content of the email is great, but none of it matters if the subject line doesn't get them to click. Since these guys haven't opened anything from you in months, a standard "We miss you!" might not work well. You need something a little surprising or very direct.

What about giving them a small, exclusive treat just for opening the email? It doesn't have to be a huge discount, but maybe a special short guide or a small coupon code for your service. Frame it as a "Welcome Back Gift."

When someone hasn't heard from you in months, they don't want to read a long explanation about your company's whole history. The message should be maybe three or four sentences total. Say, "Hey, it's [Your Name]. We send simple tips about [Topic]. If you want to keep getting them, click here, or if not, click here." That's all you need.
