What do you think is the single biggest reason most digital marketers do not last past the first two years?
 
In my opinion, the biggest reason most digital marketers don't last past the first couple of years is unrealistic expectations about speed of results. Many people expect quick success from SEO, ads, or content, and when growth is slower than they imagined, they lose motivation. The reality is that digital marketing rewards consistency and patience, so those who stick around are usually the ones who adapt, keep learning, and stay consistent even when results take time.
 
A lot comes down to consistency. Some marketers work hard for a few weeks, then disappear when traffic drops or sales slow down. Those who keep going, even during quiet periods, often build stronger businesses because they continue creating content, testing ideas, and learning from mistakes.
 
One of the biggest differences is that successful digital marketers treat marketing as a long-term skill, not a quick way to make money. The difference is that people who expect fast results often get discouraged when campaigns fail, while those who keep learning and adapting tend to stay in the game much longer.
