Ask What is your favorite way to repurpose content?

Repurposing means taking one piece of content and turning it into something else. A long article can become a short video, a series of social media posts, or even a simple infographic. This saves time and lets your content reach people on different platforms. A blog post that took days to write should not just sit there. Breaking it into smaller pieces keeps it working long after it was first published. What do you think is the most effective platform to repurpose written content onto?

For me it's just pulling key points from a long post and spreading them on Twitter one by one. Same work, more reach. The only annoying part is people engage with the short version and never click back to read the full thing. Still haven't figured that one out.

The real problem is people repurpose bad content and just put it on more platforms. More places won't fix a weak article. If the original thing didn't say anything useful, spreading it around just means more people see something that wasn't worth reading in the first place.

I turn almost everything into YouTube videos. I just talk through what I already wrote, no script, nothing fancy. People who won't read a single paragraph will watch 10 minutes of someone talking about the same thing. The two crowds barely cross over, that's why it works.

Audio is what nobody here talks about enough. A short podcast clip or even a voice style recording reaches people who are driving or cooking. They can't look at a screen but they are still consuming content. That whole group just gets left out when everything is text or video.

My issue with repurposing is people think it means copy and paste to a different app. The way you write for Twitter (X) is not how you write for a blog. The platform changes how people read. If you don't adjust the writing, it just feels out of place and people will scroll past.

One platform that stands out is social media, especially short-video platforms. A well-written article can be turned into several short clips, each covering one key point. Many people prefer watching a quick video instead of reading a long post, so this can help the content reach a much larger audience without creating something completely new.

Looking at where people already spend time can help answer that. Short videos on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts can give written content a second life. A useful article can be broken into several quick tips, making it easier for more people to discover and engage with the information.
