Repurposing means taking one piece of content and using it in different ways to reach more people. For example, a blog post about a skincare product can be turned into a short video, an infographic, or a social media post with key points. This saves time and helps the same message reach audiences who prefer different formats. It is better to adjust the tone slightly for each platform. A YouTube video can sound more relaxed, while a blog should stay detailed. Reusing content also helps keep a consistent message across all platforms. How often do you reuse your content in new formats to reach more audiences?

A blog post? Turn it into a few Instagram slides, a Pinterest pin, or a quick TikTok showing the main points. Email? Grab a snippet and drop your affiliate link. YouTube or Reels? Make a short vid highlighting the good stuff. Basically, chop up your long content into bite-sized pieces people actually want to see. Just remember, what works on LinkedIn won't always fly on TikTok. Doing it this way saves you time and gets your links out there more

Repurposing content saves time but you can't just copy and paste the same thing everywhere. Each platform has different audiences and formats that work best. A long blog post about a product can become a YouTube video script, then that video can be chopped into short clips for TikTok or Instagram Reels.

One mistake people make is handling too many platforms at a time. When you do that, you end up with mediocre content everywhere instead of strong content on a few platforms. Pick two or three platforms where your target audience actually spends time and focus on doing those well.

Email should be part of your repurposing strategy because you own that audience. Social media platforms can change algorithms or shut down, but your email list stays with you. Take your best performing content from social media or your blog and turn it into email newsletters.

Video content repurposes better than anything else because you can break it into so many pieces. One long YouTube video becomes dozens of short clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You can pull out the audio and use it as a podcast episode. Transcribe the video and you have a blog post or email content.

Some platforms reward original content more than reposts. YouTube and Google both prefer content that appears first on their platforms. If you publish a video on YouTube and then embed it on your blog, that's fine. But copying someone else's content or even your own content that already exists elsewhere might not rank as well.
