There is no single answer that works for every campaign, but most marketers check performance at least once a week for active campaigns. If the campaign is new or spending fast, you might check it every two or three days. The goal is to catch problems early, like ads spending on the wrong keywords or a budget draining faster than expected. Monthly reviews are good for bigger decisions like adjusting bids or restructuring the campaign. Checking too often without enough data can lead to bad decisions. So what do you think is the minimum review frequency a marketer should commit to for a live campaign?

The minimum safe review frequency for a live campaign is about once every 3–7 days. That's usually enough time to collect meaningful data without overreacting to small fluctuations. If the campaign has high spend or is newly launched, checking closer to every 2–3 days makes sense to catch issues early. Daily monitoring can help, but decisions like pausing keywords or changing bids should still be based on a few days of consistent trends rather than single-day performance.

I agree to this but I think the minimum review frequency depends on the budget and how active the campaign is. For most live campaigns, once a week feels like the minimum because problems can grow quickly if nobody checks performance. Things like wasted spend, poor targeting, or broken tracking can sit unnoticed for too long.

The ideal frequency for reviewing and optimizing a paid search campaign depends on budget and traffic volume, but most campaigns benefit from a structured approach monitor key performance metrics daily to catch issues early, perform optimization reviews weekly to adjust bids, keywords, and ad copy, and conduct a deeper performance analysis monthly to evaluate trends, audience behavior, and overall return on investment. This balance helps maintain efficiency without making changes too frequently based on short-term fluctuations.
