Ask What do you do when a client wants the tone or voice of your work to match another freelancer they have worked with before?

It is common for clients to come with strong opinions about how they want content or creative work to feel, sometimes based on what a previous freelancer produced for them. This can put you in a position where you are trying to match someone else's style instead of developing your own approach for the project. I believe this can limit the quality of the work and also creates confusion about what the client actually wants. How do you redirect a client toward describing what they need in terms of goals or outcomes rather than asking you to replicate another person's approach?
