Ask Is Upwork becoming less attractive than newer freelance platforms?

New freelance platforms keep appearing, and some offer lower fees and simpler rules than what Upwork currently has in place. This has made a few freelancers start looking elsewhere for better opportunities and less competition for the same jobs. Upwork still has a large client base, but that alone may not keep everyone loyal forever. Do you think Upwork is losing its appeal to newer platforms, or does it still remain the better choice for most freelancers today?

I think the answer to that one is yes. The reason is that the platform has become highly competitive especially for both the beginners as well as the season freelancer. It is very tough for you to see high paying client on the platform right now. I have seen some people quitting the platform because of the competition
