Why are other freelancing platforms not better than both Upwork and Fiverr?

I don't know whether you have heard about other freelancing platforms apart from Fiverr and Upwork? If yes, are you making use of them. Most of the times, you will even notice that most people don't make use of them. It is just seem as if they are regional based and not international outlook. Do you know the reason why most freelancers don't always make use of them? Is it that they are not to be trusted?
