Ask Is success in PPV mostly about getting the right client?

I do PPV for about 2 years and I have discussed this topic with few senior level people. I can't get rid of the feeling that 90% of success is getting the right client(strong brand, product that people really want etc.)

If your client isn't like this it doesn't matter how good your work is, you just won't get good enough results.

On the other hand if the client is good, it almost doesn't matter how good you do it and you will get plenty of conversions and happy client.

Which is kinda demotivating because the level of your skill matter so little in this field.

What do you think? I would be happy if anyone would change my mind on this.
 
I'd say getting the right client is a big part of success in PPV, but it's not everything. Even with a great client, if the ads, landing pages, or targeting are off, the campaigns won't perform. The right client helps because their offer converts well, but you still need to know how to manage traffic, optimize creatives, and track conversions properly. It's a mix of the client's product and your ability to run campaigns efficiently.
 
Having the right client definitely makes things easier in PPV because they'll usually have a product or service that converts well. But success also depends on your targeting, messaging, and ability to optimize campaigns. Even the best client won't make up for poor strategy or execution. So, while the client is important, you still need to focus on running campaigns well to see real success. It's teamwork, really.
