The tension always rises when I stare at the budget sheet for a new native campaign. I set up prospecting to cast a wide net, reaching people who have never seen my brand. At the same time, I launch retargeting ads, hoping to bring back those who already visited my site and left without converting.

I track every shift in spend, watching how each group responds as I move the sliders. Some weeks, prospecting brings in a flood of new faces. Other times, retargeting delivers the conversions I need. My reports fill up with numbers, and I keep searching for that perfect balance.

How do you prioritize budget between prospecting and retargeting in native?
 
When it comes to native ads, a chill starting point is 70/30, more on prospecting, less on retargeting. especially if you're still growing. Once your audience gets bigger and you know who's interested, you can throw more money at retargeting since it's easier to convert. The main thing? Keep an eye on what's working, tweak as you go, and don't stress about exact percentages. Just roll with what gets results.
