Pricing work fairly is something many freelancers struggle with, especially when a client describes a project in a way that sounds small but turns out to need much more effort. Some people compare the offer to their hourly rate before agreeing. Others look at how long similar tasks usually take them. It is not always easy to judge this correctly from the first message alone. What method do you use to know if an offer truly matches the work involved?

First break the project into hours and tasks then check what you usually charge for that time. Look at the scope and see if there are hidden extras like revisions calls or research that will eat more time. Compare the pay to the effort stress and deadline If the rate does not cover your time plus a buffer it is not enough Say no or negotiate so you do not burn out.
