How do I respond when a client says “I’ll think about it” after a call?

Among the excuses that some clients always give is telling the freelancers that they will be thinking about it. As a freelancer, you need to make it easier by treating the statement as an open statement. Ask them what is unclear about your service that they are not clear about. Offer to explain better for them to get convinced about the service. You may even ask the timeframe for you to be expecting their feedbacks.

That is a common reply from clients who are not sure yet. When you hear that, just stay calm and ask if they need more details about the work. Being polite helps them feel comfortable to share their worries. Giving them a specific date for a follow up works well.

Some people might just want to walk away when they say that. It is good to be patient and keep the door open for them. Just ask if there is anything else you can clarify about the project. Waiting for their final answer shows you are still very professional today.
