In affiliate marketing, there are times when a product is available to promote but it does not feel right to recommend it. Promoting something that feels low quality or not useful can make people lose trust very quickly. Many say it is better to promote fewer products that are truly helpful instead of pushing everything just for commission. For example, sharing a software tool that constantly breaks or a ---------- with poor reviews might bring fast clicks, but in the long run, it could damage credibility. Some believe trust is more valuable than short-term sales. Has anyone here ever promoted a product they personally would not use? Did it harm your results, or did people still buy it anyway?

Yes, I've done that before, and it didn't feel great. I promoted a product because it seemed popular and had a good commission rate, but I wasn't personally impressed by it. I quickly realized it's hard to be genuine when you don't actually like something. Since then, I've made it a rule to only promote products I believe in or have tried myself. It's much easier to create content when you truly stand behind what you're sharing, and it builds more trust with your audience.

Yes, I think many affiliates have tried promoting something they were not fully excited about at some point. Sometimes the commission looks attractive or the product is trending. But from my experience, it becomes hard to create convincing content when you don't genuinely like the product. I would suggest avoiding that long term because your audience can usually sense when the recommendation is not authentic.
