It is common in affiliate marketing to come across products that look profitable but are not easy to fully understand. For example, some digital tools or software may have many features that are not simple to explain, yet they still have strong commissions. Promoting such items can lead to confusion when customers ask questions that are not easy to answer. Some marketers solve this by testing the product themselves, while others rely only on the company's description. But without a clear understanding, the promotion may sound less authentic, and this could reduce trust. Would it be better to only promote products that are personally tested, or can strong marketing skills replace deep product knowledge? How do most people handle this balance in their campaigns?
 
I think it's always better to promote products you've tested yourself. When you know how something works, it's easier to explain it clearly and answer customer questions. This builds trust, and people are more likely to buy because they know you're speaking from experience. Relying only on the company's description can make your promotion feel less personal and even risky if the product doesn't deliver. Strong marketing skills help, but knowing the product is what makes the difference in the long run.
 
There are moments when affiliates promote offers after reading only the basic details without really knowing how the product works. The problem with that approach is that it becomes difficult to answer questions or explain benefits clearly. People can usually notice when the recommendation feels shallow or rushed.
