Ask Has Upwork made loyalty less valuable?

Honestly, many freelancers who stayed loyal to one platform for years now feel that loyalty does not pay off anymore. Clients used to stick with the same person for a long time, but these days newer profiles seem to get more attention than experienced ones. This makes some people feel that staying loyal to Upwork brings little reward. Do you still think loyalty matters on Upwork, or has the platform started favoring new faces over experienced ones?

Sort of. Upwork rewards fresh proposals and fast responses so new freelancers can jump in anytime. That makes long term loyalty feel less automatic. But clients still keep freelancers they trust. If you deliver consistently and communicate well you become their go to person. Loyalty matters it just has to be earned every project.
