Ask Has Upwork made it harder for beginners to compete?

Beginners on Upwork often struggle to get their first job because most clients prefer freelancers with strong reviews and a proven history of work. Without enough Connects or a strong profile, new freelancers can spend weeks applying without getting any response. This makes many beginners feel discouraged before they even get a real chance to prove their skills. Do you think Upwork has made it harder for beginners to compete, or is this normal in any competitive market?

I think it has become more harder for beginner freelance to make a progress on fiverr platform and some other one. Things that most of these platform had more than enough freelance as it now. I think as a result of that they are not looking for any other freelance again except the one that have been providing services
