Freelancing was supposed to give people more freedom, but some say Upwork has added so many rules and costs that it now feels like a full time job just to keep up. Between connects, fees, and constant policy updates, many freelancers spend more energy managing the platform than actually doing their work. This has left some people wondering if simpler platforms might offer a better experience. Has Upwork made freelancing harder than it really needs to be?

I will say that for those who are just getting started it is a bit much harder than ever before when you can just create an account and it's starting receiving orders for the service you offer. It takes a lot of efforts than ever before to make a headway on upward platform as a beginner at the present time.
