Freelancers should not be all after the clients. It is not about that always. It should be about what can you get from the clients. You need to understand the fact that there are some clients that are not worth working for. They don't respect the freelancers. Most of the times, they always look for only cheap freelancers. Some will not even rate the freelancers well. All these factors are needed to be checked before you can conclude.

Yes I do I check their reviews past jobs and how they communicate with freelancers I look at their budget and if they are clear about what they want If a client is respectful and serious it tells me the project will go smoothly. That saves me time and avoids bad experiences later
