Do freelancer's success rate increase on new freelancing platforms?

There are different perspectives to this. There are some that believe that new platforms give access to new freelancers to navigate easily through it and can easily become successful with them. Apart from that, it is easier for the freelancers to make much money on new platforms because there will many clients and lesser freelancers on this. Some have said no. They believe that new freelancers may not have much tasks as well, limiting the opportunity of the freelancers.
