Does joining different freelancing platforms actually increase income?

Many freelancers have believed that you have to belong to different freelancing platforms for you to have more income for yourself as freelancers. That's why they always belong to at least two freelancing platforms. But in actual sense, does this really matter? There are some freelancers that are just on one platform and they are making use of it maximally. They don't need to be disturbing themselves with different ideologies of different platforms. What do you think?
 
Not necessary if you are not doing the right thing. A person can join a lot of groups and still not to make a money because number does not count. I want to look out in freelancing is that you must be able to provide superior services in the freelance marketplace.
