Many freelancers complain that when something goes wrong with a client, the platform almost always sides with the person paying the money. It makes sense from a business angle because clients bring the money in, but it puts freelancers in a difficult position when they have done the work and still lose the dispute. Some platforms say their process is fair, but the experiences people share online tell a different story most of the time. I have seen this topic come up a lot in freelancing communities. What has your experience been when you had a dispute with a client on any platform?
