Clients may be funny. This is why coaches need to be careful. There are sometimes where clients may want extra classes but would make it clear that there is no money. With this, it may somehow difficult for coaches to take decision. Some that do not mind can easily fell the clients that they are for the business alone, others would want to pay the good Samaritan.

If you were the coach, would you render such a service?

You want to help, but your time and expertise are valuable too. If a client asks for a free session, it's okay to be upfront and say that your sessions are paid so you can keep things fair and consistent. You could offer something like a shorter session, a discounted rate, or tips they can try on their own until the next session. That way, you're still helping them out without giving away your time for free. It keeps things chill, professional, and makes sure your work doesn't get undervalued.

As a coach, it's important to strike a balance between providing support and respecting your own boundaries and value. In the scenario where a client requests extra sessions without payment, it's essential to consider the reasons behind their request and your own capacity to offer additional support.

Just like someone said above, there is a need to strike a balance between helping your students and trading your time. You need to ensure that your time counts, for the students to take you so serious. However, for the session that won't last 30 minutes, money may not be collected

If a client asked for extra sessions but didn't want to pay, I'd let them know I need to stick to my pricing. I'd totally understand if they're tight on money, but my time and skills are still worth something. I'd be happy to offer them options, like maybe finding a more affordable solution or sticking to the original plan. It's all about keeping things fair while still trying to help out where I can.

It's crucial to establish clear boundaries and communicate the value of your time and expertise as a coach. While it's understandable that clients may sometimes seek extra support without additional payment, it's important to uphold the professionalism of your services. You could consider offering alternative solutions, shorter sessions, resources for self-guided progress, or potential discounts if feasible.

My time and effort matter, and if I keep doing free sessions, people might start expecting it all the time. That can make it hard to keep things professional. Of course, there could be exceptions. If the client has been really loyal, going through something serious, or if something went wrong during the original session, I might give them a little extra time just to be nice. But in general, it's important to set boundaries. Being understanding is good, but it doesn't mean you should give away your time and work for free

You don't need to be doing things for free to be like. You need to make sure that you are charging for your efforts and time. If you do it for one client, others will want to be benefiting the same, which invariably turn the coaching program to a free one, which is not originally designed to be.

When faced with a client who requests extra sessions without payment, it's crucial to maintain a balance between providing support and valuing your time and expertise. You may consider offering alternatives such as shorter sessions or providing resources for self-practice to accommodate the client's needs while still upholding the value of your services.
