Some freelancers are always afraid of increasing their rates because they believe their clients may decide not to patronize them again. Is this always true? Most of the times, your clients are not patronizing you because of your price. They are only patronizing you because of the quality that you can provide. That's why it is always better for the freelancers to create values for themselves so that people will still patronize them despite having higher price.

If you increase the price of your services too high above the benchmark in the marketplace there is high chances that you will receive a less patronage. People will see that you are charging premium for a normal price. And you may not be able to receive any order in a place where there is a price war in the marketplace.
