Ask Why should students consider freelancing while still in school?

School teaches a lot of things, but earning real money from a real skill before graduation is not usually part of the plan. Most students wait until they finish before thinking about income, but by then they are competing with everyone else for the same entry-level positions. Freelancing gives students a head start that no classroom can fully replicate. Do you think students should be actively encouraged to freelance while still in school, and what do you believe they stand to gain from starting that early?
