Ask Why does fixing a technical problem on a website not always lead to better Google rankings right after the fix?

Google does not rank your site the moment you fix something. It first needs to crawl your site again, which means its bots need to come back and re-read your pages. After crawling, it has to process what it finds and update its index, and all of that takes time. Even after it is indexed, rankings shift gradually as Google compares your page against others competing for the same spots. Some fixes take weeks or even months to show results. Do you think website owners expect faster results from SEO fixes than is actually realistic?
