One thing that comes up a lot in freelancing is clients reacting to a rough draft as if it were the final version, pointing out every small thing that is not yet polished when the whole point of a draft is that it is not finished. It can create a lot of unnecessary tension and sometimes makes the freelancer feel like no matter what they do, it will never be enough. Setting clearer expectations at the start of a project seems like it would help, but it does not always prevent this. How do you explain the difference between a draft and a final delivery to clients who do not seem to understand it?
