Finding out that a client paid you to finish a job and then hired another freelancer to go over it without saying a word is one of the more confusing things that can happen in this line of work. Sometimes there is a genuine reason, like a change in direction or a misunderstanding about what was expected, but other times it feels like the client had doubts from the beginning and never said anything.
