Ask Why do some clients come back after months of silence expecting to pick up right where things stopped?

It happens in a pattern that is easy to recognise. A client goes quiet after a project, no feedback, no follow-up, and then months later they send a message as if no time has passed at all. Sometimes they even expect the same rate and the same level of priority, without checking if you are available or if anything has changed. It is not always a bad thing when a client returns, but the way some do it is a little strange. How do you usually handle clients who come back like this?
