I couldn't believe myself when I saw a message from one of the clients I have done projects with 7 months ago. I have known forgotten that I work on the project self. He was asking me for a revision on the project in his latest message and this came to me as a surprise

The question I want to ask you guys concerning this is that Why do freelance clients demand free revisions months after closing? I will be looking forward to your response in the connection so thanks in advance.

It's definitely frustrating when clients come back months later asking for free revisions on a project that was completed and closed a long time ago. There could be several reasons why clients demand free revisions months after closing:

1. **Change in Circumstances**: The client might have gone through changes in their business, marketing strategy, or personal preferences, leading them to seek revisions on the project.

2. **Realization of Needs**: Sometimes clients may not see the need for revisions until they have actually used the project or realized that something is not working as expected.

3. **Budget Constraints**: Clients might try to get free revisions to save on costs, especially if they feel that the changes are minor and should have been done correctly in the first place.

4. **Forgetfulness**: As in your case, clients might simply forget that they already closed the project and paid for the services rendered.

5. **Miscommunication**: There could have been miscommunication or misunderstandings during the project delivery that only becomes apparent to the client later on.

6. **High Expectations**: Some clients might have high expectations and perfectionist tendencies, leading them to seek revisions even after project closure.

7. **Testing Waters**: Clients may also ask for free revisions as a way to test whether you would be willing to make changes without charging extra, especially if you have a history of accommodating such requests.

In handling such situations, it's crucial to set clear boundaries and terms in your contracts regarding revisions and project closure. You can specify the number of revisions included, the timeline for requesting revisions, and any additional costs associated with revisions requested after project closure. It's also important to communicate openly with clients about the revisions policy to prevent misunderstandings and unexpected requests down the line.
