Instagram has never been fully transparent about how it chooses who gets verified. In general, accounts that are more likely to be impersonated, like public figures, well-known brands, or creators with a large following, tend to get priority. Having media coverage from outside Instagram also seems to help because it shows the account represents a real and recognised entity. Smaller or newer pages often wait a long time because they have not built that kind of public presence yet. So do you think Instagram should make its verification process clearer and more fair for small businesses?
