Ask Why do I get website visits but no form submissions?

Many people face this issue when visitors arrive on their site but leave without filling out a form. Sometimes the form asks for too much information, which makes people uncomfortable. Other times, the page may not clearly explain why the form matters or how the person benefits from completing it. The design can also play a role, especially if the form is hidden or the page loads slowly. I think a simple form with fewer steps encourages more people to finish it. Clear text that explains what happens after submission also builds trust. What do you think?

Maybe the form's too long or confusing, or it's not clear why anyone should bother. Sometimes the submit button is hard to find, or the site is slow on phones. Other times, people just aren't ready to commit and they're just browsing. The fix? Keep the form super simple, make it obvious what they get out of it, make sure it works on mobile, and maybe toss in a little incentive

Your form probably asks for too much information. People land on your site ready to inquire, then see ten required fields asking for their job title, company size, phone number, and more. Name and email are enough for first contact. You can ask for details later once they actually care.

Maybe your ads target too broadly, or you rank for keywords that attract researchers instead of buyers. Check where your traffic comes from and what pages they visit. If they land on your blog, read one post, and leave without checking your services, those visitors were never going to submit a form anyway.

People do not trust your site enough to give you their contact information. Visitors worry you will spam them or sell their email. Add trust signals like customer logos, review screenshots, or security badges near your form. Show people others have worked with you and did not regret it. Without trust, nobody

People need a reason to fill out the form beyond just "contact us." What happens after they submit? Do they get a quote? A free consultation? A download? Tell them exactly what they get in exchange for their information. Without that clear benefit, submitting feels pointless. Nobody gives up their email just to maybe hear from you someday.

Your form might be broken and you do not even know it. Technical errors, captcha problems, or server issues stop submissions without showing you an error. Test it yourself on different browsers and devices. Many businesses lose months of leads because their form stopped working after a website update and nobody noticed.
