I have a friend who is a freelancer and a offer tutorial services to students online. In fact is one of the top rated sellers on fiverr in upwork. He is very hard working but recently he was complaining that he's having low order. He said that is as a result of summer as no students are on holiday.

The question I want to ask you guys concerning this is that Why do freelance tutors struggle during school summer breaks? I will be looking forward to your response in the comment section thanks in advance.

Freelance tutors often struggle during school summer breaks for a variety of reasons:

1. **Decreased Demand**: As you mentioned, many students are on holiday during the summer break, which leads to a decrease in demand for tutoring services. Parents and students may see the break as a time to relax and take a break from academics, resulting in fewer requests for tutoring sessions.

2. **Financial Instability**: For freelance tutors who rely on tutoring as their main source of income, the decrease in orders during summer breaks can lead to financial instability. With fewer students seeking tutoring services, tutors may experience a drop in income during this time.

3. **Seasonal Fluctuations**: The demand for tutoring services can fluctuate based on the academic calendar. Summer breaks are a predictable period of low demand for tutors, making it a challenging time for freelancers to secure consistent work.

4. **Competition**: During peak tutoring seasons, freelance tutors may face stiff competition as more tutors are available to meet the high demand. However, during summer breaks, the competition may decrease, making it harder for tutors to secure new clients.

5. **Adapting Marketing Strategies**: Freelance tutors may need to adapt their marketing strategies during summer breaks to attract clients. They may need to target different demographics or offer specialized summer programs to maintain a steady flow of income.

To overcome these challenges, freelance tutors can consider diversifying their services, expanding their client base, creating special summer programs, or offering discounts to attract clients during the break. Adapting to the seasonal changes and being proactive in marketing their services can help tutors mitigate the impact of reduced demand during school summer breaks.
