I have an issue with one of the client that came to my DM concerning the project I handle last week. For the past 3 days now we have been having issue trying to resolve it through the platform resolution. I have finished everything required of me on the project but the problem is that the client refuse to accept. He claimed that there is more to be done which seems to be additional task. But the main issue is that the platform seems to be supporting this client more.

Now the question I want to ask you guys is that Why do freelance platform support agents favor buyers over sellers? Thanks in advance.

I understand your frustration regarding the situation you're facing with the client and the perceived bias towards buyers on freelance platforms. This is a common concern among freelancers, and there are several reasons why platform support agents may seem to favor buyers over sellers:

1. **Revenue Generation**: Freelance platforms typically generate their revenue from fees charged to freelancers on completed projects. As a result, they may prioritize keeping buyers satisfied to ensure they continue using the platform and bringing in revenue. This financial incentive can influence how they handle disputes between buyers and sellers.

2. **Marketplace Dynamics**: Buyers often have more options to choose from than sellers on freelance platforms. As a result, platforms may lean towards satisfying buyers to maintain a healthy marketplace with a steady flow of projects and transactions. This can sometimes lead to decisions that appear to favor buyers over sellers.

3. **Risk Management**: Platforms may perceive buyers as having more leverage because they are the ones paying for the service. To mitigate risks such as chargebacks or negative feedback from buyers, support agents may lean towards resolving disputes in favor of the buyer to protect the platform's reputation and reduce financial risks.

4. **User Retention**: Platforms may prioritize buyer satisfaction to ensure they have a positive experience and return for future projects. Happy buyers are more likely to become repeat customers, contributing to the platform's growth and success.

While these factors can contribute to the perceived bias towards buyers, it's essential to communicate your concerns clearly to the platform's support team and provide any evidence or documentation to support your case. Be persistent in seeking a fair resolution and escalate the issue if necessary. Additionally, consider reviewing the platform's terms of service and policies to understand your rights and responsibilities as a freelancer on the platform.

I hope this information sheds some light on why freelance platform support agents may seem to favor buyers over sellers and helps you navigate your current situation effectively. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
