Why do clients keep on looking for cheaper freelancers?

For one reason or the other, clients always look for cheaper freelancers. They will be looking for different platforms where they can see cheaper freelancers. This has even made some freelancers to be reducing their charges because other freelancers may decide to do the tasks at a lower rate. I don't know why all these clients are always after the cheaper freelancers. What do you think maybe the reason? Share it in the comment section.
