Why are clients not trusting some platforms while looking for freelancers?

It is true that there are some clients that don't really trust freelancers, septic on some platforms. That's why it is better for the freelancers to be making use of the platforms that the clients have much trust in. When something like this happened it means maybe they have been scam in the past on the platform so they are going to be skeptical about it. I will assume that such a client as try to get back their money but the platform does not help them in that way so there will be skeptical of it
