Ask Which add-ons are needed for a domain that only redirects?

I am looking to buy my first domain and have it redirect to an existing site. I'm trying to figure out which registrar to use and am comparing their prices. However, I'm not sure which add-ons are a good idea for a redirect-only site, and which add-ons are only needed if you are actually developing the domain into a real site.

I know I want some kind of privacy protection for the WHOIS database, but am not sure about the rest. Do you all have any advice?

Right now I am mainly looking at domain.com, GoDaddy, and Bluehost, but am open to suggestions there, too.

If the domain is only meant for redirection, you honestly don't need many add-ons. Just make sure it has DNS management and URL forwarding features. You don't need hosting, SSL, or email unless you plan to use them later. Some registrars include forwarding for free, but others charge for it, so always check that first. Keeping it simple saves cost and avoids confusing setup steps that you don't really need.
