With any service based business, the best way to market yourself is through positive customer experiences. There are many ways this can be done and it depends on the type of service you provide.

For example:

As a travel agent, I purely sell a service of recommending travel suited to an individual customer. I always include a referral letter in my documents, which essentially says if you love this holiday, tell your friends and family to come and book theirs with me as well.

Another example would be to have a customer reviews on your website.
