For solo marketers, the essentials are usually a few core tools that cover everything without overcomplicating things: a content tool like Google Docs, an email platform like Mailchimp or similar for outreach, Google Analytics and Search Console for tracking performance, and a simple project tool like Trello or Notion to stay organized. With just these, you can handle most daily marketing tasks effectively, and then only add extra tools later if a specific need actually comes up.
 
I think solo marketers often buy too many tools too early. In reality, you only need a few essentials to get started. A website platform, an analytics tool, keyword research software, and an email marketing service can handle most marketing tasks. Many people spend money on advanced software before they even have enough traffic or customers to justify it.
