Sometimes clients send contracts or documents that contain terms which are not easy to understand, especially for someone new to freelancing. It can feel risky to sign something without knowing what it really means, but also uncomfortable to delay the work. In this kind of situation, what is the right step to take? Do you ask the client to explain, look for help from someone else, or avoid signing until everything is clear?
