Conversion rate is the number of people who complete an action after clicking an affiliate link. That action can be buying a product, signing up for a service, or downloading something. For example, if one hundred people click a link and three of them buy the product, the conversion rate is three percent. Many beginners expect very high numbers, but affiliate offers often convert between one and five percent depending on the traffic and product type. Some offers convert better than others. What conversion rates are normally seen on different affiliate niches?
 
Conversion rates in affiliate marketing vary a lot depending on niche, intent, and traffic quality. In most cases, they usually fall somewhere between low single digits, with some campaigns performing below 1% and better-optimized, high-intent traffic reaching several percent higher. Niches where people are actively looking to compare or buy tend to convert better than general interest audiences. Instead of focusing on a fixed "expected" number, it's more useful to track your own baseline and improve it over time through better targeting and content alignment.
 
There is no single conversion rate that applies to every affiliate offer because results depend on the product, audience, traffic source, and level of trust you have built. Some offers may convert at less than 1%, while others can convert much higher when they are shown to the right audience
 
From what I have seen, affiliate conversion rates can vary widely. A highly targeted audience that is already interested in the product will usually convert much better than general traffic. The quality of the offer also matters. A product that solves a real problem and has a good reputation often performs better than one that does not.
