Upwork has its own way of working, and new freelancers who do not understand it often spend weeks doing things that simply do not get results. Some people send too many generic proposals, others price themselves too low hoping it will bring in clients faster, and some give up before their profile even gets enough visibility. There are probably patterns that experienced freelancers see over and over again when they look back at what went wrong early on. I am wondering what people here think is the single most common mistake that slows new Upwork freelancers down the most.
