I've been experimenting with display ads targeting cold traffic lately. I tried using excitement and curiosity to catch attention right away.

Some ads focused on urgency, while others leaned into humor to break the ice.

I also tested ads that tapped into feelings like trust and belonging. It felt tricky to find the right emotional tone since the audience doesn't know the brand yet. Each approach gave me different results, so I'm still exploring what works best.

Curiosity is huge as people have to click when something's a little mysterious or unexpected. Humor's awesome too; a funny twist or visual can melt that cold vibe super fast. Limited-time deals or exclusive stuff get people moving. I also play the aspirational angle: showing how life could be easier, cooler, or just more fun with your product. Even tiny bits of relatability make a big difference. Bottom line: it's all about hitting that emotional spark that makes someone stop scrolling.
