Ask What do you do when a client on Upwork tries to move communication off the platform?

Upwork has a very strict rule that says you must keep all your messages inside their website until a contract starts. Some clients ask for your personal email or phone number right away, which can actually get your account banned forever. It is hard to say no without sounding rude or losing the potential job opportunity. I am not sure how to handle these requests safely. How do you explain the rules to a client without making them lose interest in hiring you?
