I struggle to turn potential clients into paying ones. Some show interest but hesitate to commit. Others ask many questions but never move forward.

I don't know if I'm saying the wrong things or not handling objections well. Should I offer discounts? Should I follow up more? Maybe I need a better way to build trust?

I don't want to push too hard and lose them, but I also don't want to waste time on clients who never decide.

I can relate how stressful it can be trying to decide especially when we are dealing with tricky clients. However to save our time, we can easily give time frame, to chat with them. Also, freelancers don't need to be forcing themselves on the clients. They should give them time to decide whatever they want.

Hesitation usually means they don't see enough value or they're worried about risk. You need to figure out which one it is before you can close them. Ask direct questions about what's stopping them from moving forward. Sometimes clients are comparing you to other freelancers and they need a reason to choose you specifically.

If you don't have strong examples of past work or client reviews, that might be why they're not committing. Building trust takes time but you can speed it up by offering a smaller trial project first. Let them test your work without a huge commitment. Once they see the quality, closing the full project becomes easier.
